Talleybrooke is a well-established family community with affordable, three- and four-bedroom homes, all with at least two-car attached or integrated garages. There are about 90 homes in the plan, most with mature, shady, wooded lots. The homeowners tend to be young families with small children, some families with teenagers and a few empty-nesters. The neighborhood has an active association that holds many annual events, including several oriented towards children, including an easter Egg hunt, an ice cream social (June), Halloween parade (the weekend of Halloween) and door-to-door visits from Santa for families with young children. The neighborhood also holds a plan-wide garage sale, usually in the early fall. There is a monthly newsletter and a neighborhood directory, in which teens frequently list their availability for babysitting or lawn and yard work.
