We are two Carnegie Mellon University Professors who will be spending our AY 2015-2016 on sabbatical in the Palo Alto/Mountain View area. We are seeking to rent our 5-bedroom home, furnished, from approximately August 1, 2015 through January 31, 2016. Our home is located in Murdoch Farms -- one of the premier Pittsburgh neighborhoods, and is within walking distance of Carnegie Mellon University (8 min), University of Pittsburgh (20 min), Chatam University (20 min), as well as several local shops in the nearby Squirrel Hill shopping area on Forbes and Murray (groceries, bakeries, coffee shops, yoga studios, several daycare facilities, etc.) The home includes three full baths and two half baths, living room with cathedral ceiling and balcony overlooking it from the second floor, dining room and connected area used as a playroom with nearly floor to ceiling windows, kitchen overlooking the backyard, upgraded insulation, high-efficiently washer and hot water heater, and a furnished basement with treadmill. The backyard includes a 10'x4' potted vegetable garden, a small lawn area, a large Amish playset area (including three swings, covered treehouse, children's rockwall, and sandbox), magnolia tree, wooden picnic table area under the magnolia with seating for 10, and a "Big Green Egg" ceramic grill. The house has significant off street parking on the driveway to the back of the house as well as a garage. At present, we use the garage for storage, and park our two cars (four easily fit) in the long driveway. We currently have a gardener, cleaning service, and beloved 3 day/week cook and housekeeper at our home in Pittsburgh. We would include the gardener and cleaning service fees as part of the monthly rental. We would be open to discuss the housekeeper / cook arrangement. Gardener and cleaners (once every other week) included in rent.
