Right in the middle of town.... we can get anywhere we need to in Merced in a matter of minutes. Our medical doctor's are within a 5 minute radius. The grocery stores are also right around the corner. The highway is about a 5 minute drive as well. We can get on our bikes and hit the bike trail in no time, complete with a trip to the playground and the zoo... with a visit to the goats. Northwood Drive is a tree lined street with older homes, however the established trees take the temperature down a good 5 degrees in the hot summer months, we noticed this on moving day when we were moving from the North side of town where the new neighborhood trees have not had a chance to grow in yet, it's much warmer over in that area. With a cul-de-sac the kids can ride their bikes a bit futher than just the sidewalk. Overall, it's a great central location, for getting where we need to go, raising children and day to day living.
