The Grade

Due North of Lutsen and deep in the Northwoods is some private land, nearly 40 acres essentially surrounded by the vast Superior National Forest. And, though the vibe is wilderness, Lutsen is not far, about 25 minutes. Or head east, backroads the entire way, to Grand Marais. As they say, they’re not making more of it… And in Cook County, there’s only 9% private land, owning some is a sound investment in this desirable northern paradise where lakes of pure waters predominate. Just to the south of this property, maybe a ¼ mile at most down a quaint old road, is Little Cascade Lake. A good place for a dip or wet a line – some nice northern pike in there! Take a peek at a map: so many lakes, streams, old roads rambling around – an explorer’s delight. Back at the property, there’s plans to be made. Maybe it’s just owning a bit of the boreal woods: all you need is a tent to be content. Or, get going on the cabin. Perhaps, go for the homestead: clear a patch, get some chickens, put in a garden. Plan for a woodstove whatever the vision, nothing like wood heat with fuel right from your own land! This much acreage can hold the dream, make it up as you go along, get back to basics!
