Our cottage has the advantage of having a great view of the Georgia Straight and Gulf Islands. Enjoy your morning coffee while watching the sun rise and then later in the day watch it set with a glass of wine while tending the barbecue. The deck faces South so enjoys the sun all day. Other features of the house include a solid cement foundation in the form of a full basement (7 ft. high), new roof, modern septic tank, newer quality double glazed vinyl windows throughout. The property dimensions are 50 ft frontage by 100 feet deep. The interior of the main floor of the cottage is approximately 720 sq. ft. and with the same area available in the basement giving a total of 1440 square feet of livable space. There is also 268 sq. ft. of deck. A newer fan assisted gas fireplace heats the home in the winter and lovely French Doors open onto the sundeck. There is durable laminate flooring throughout. There are two bedrooms on the main floor of the Cottage. A third smaller room could be set up as a den or office. The back and side of the house has lots of room for a garden and parking for your RV trailer or boat. The basement has been wired and framed for a future bedroom, living area, laundry room/bathroom and workshop. Four opening thermo-windows have been installed downstairs to let in natural light. There is a washer and dryer and hot water tank in the Basement as well as a small workshop. The view from the deck is great. Watch all the activity on the Georgia Straight as well as the daytime and night sky. Many dinners are prepared on the Barbeque which has a direct gas hook-up. Our cottage is only a short 3 minute walk to South Beach which is one of the nicest in Point Roberts and is privately owned. A 1/55th share of the beach and tide-lands is part of the property ownership. This has many advantages, including tanning platforms, a float to swim to and the ability to tie up your boat. The beautiful Point Roberts Marina and restaurant are only a few blocks down the road or a short walk up the beach. The marina is perfectly situated to access the Georgia Straight including the San Juan and Gulf Islands. Lilly Point Park and Light House Park are each close by. One can also walk the shoreline all the way around Lilly Point to Maple Beach. The local fishing and crabbing are great activities along with clam digging and beach combing. South Beach House Restaurant is just down the road. There is also the famous Kiniski's Reef Tavern at the Point . The International Market is close by and carries everything one would need. If you want to experience downtown Vancouver or the even closer towns of Tsawwassen and Ladner in Canada, the border is a few minutes up the road.
