Dramatic 10% price drop! We shaved $50,000 off the price. "Price this apartment so we have an accepted offer within a week," is what my client said to me. You get convenience, safety & a bargain. Convenience - Aristotle Onassis lived in Turtle Bay for good reason. It was close to great restaurants (and the El Morocco Club!) and transportation was effortless. He had a chauffeur of course but everybody else had the best subway and bus connections in Manhattan. Safety - Turtle Bay is protected by the legendary 17th Precinct. The Sutton and Beekman neighborhoods in Manhattan (which flank this apartment building) have the lowest rate of violent crime. *You get a Bargain - This apartment in this building at this price in this neighborhood is so good you should take it immediately. This wonderful pre-war one bedroom has much of the original detail that was built into it in the 1930's. My favorite detail is the floor design in the bathroom. It is approximately 750 sq. ft. Ceilings are 8 feet. The living room is spacious and so is the bedroom. The kitchen is narrow and efficient so you can get a lot done in it without it intruding into the rest of your living space. It also has what many consider a rarity in Manhattan apartments, a large pantry. It has great closet space with three closets that are deep and high. Closets are in the bedroom, the hallway between the bathroom and bedroom, and in the foyer. There is a full-time doorman who runs the elevator. The building has a live-in super and a friendly, helpful staff. The E train is nearby (3rd Ave. and 53rd St.) The Lexington Avenue subway is at 51st and Lexington Avenue. The Second avenue local bus and the Selectrcic bus are half a block away. The First and Third Avenue local bus and Selectric buses are a block and a half away. And the crosstown bus crosses regularly on 50th Street going east and on 49th Street going west. (Photos by Carlos Andres Dueñas)
