One room in a 2 bedroom house at 1210 Wylie St NE is for rent. 2 Bedroom, 1 bathroom row house. Spacious kitchen with new appliances and granite counter tops Dual washer/dryer Bedroom has good space (I fit a bed, desk, nightstand with room to spare), a ceiling fan, and a large closet with built in dresser. I have a rather large wardrobe and it all fits comfortably. Located between 12 and 13th st NE, right in the middle of the best bars, restaurants, and concert venues in DC. Convenient to Capitol Hill, Gallaudet University. Transportation: convenient stops on the X2 bus line, a Capital Bike Share station, and a 15 minute walk to Union Station (red line on metro, Amtrak, etc). Street parking available with permit, one visitor permit for the house. Great situation for someone just moving to DC or wanting to relocate to a great neighborhood. I really can't say enough great things about H St. It is full of great establishments and since it is a little off the metro it has a local community vibe to it. In the spring through fall there is a local farmers market right on the corner of 13th and H that is teeming with great finds. There is also a Giant and Safeway within walking distance and a Whole Foods opening later this year. My housemate's name is Mike and it has been great living with him. Solid, loyal, dependable guy. He is an economic analyst for the government specializing in African oil markets. Good conversation for IR types. He also puts his analytic skills toward knowing the best social scenes in the district such as off the beaten path bars, restaurants, concerts, etc. He is also an amateur whiskey expert and we keep a well-stocked bar. Rent is $1200 a month plus utilities which are usually around $100. You pick up a sublease that runs through June of next year. If you are interested drop me a line and we can schedule a time for you to see the house, meet Mike, and see the neighborhood. Can move in immediately. Tenant responsible for gas and electric.
