Our home in beautiful Cordova Bay is located on a quiet side street in a very friendly neighborhood just minutes from the beach. There are many amenities within walking distance nearby including groceries, liquor store, restaurants, pharmacy and boutique shops at Matticks Farm including a large recreation center a 10 minute drive away. We are centrally located meaning we are a 20 minute drive to almost anywhere in Victoria including University of Victoria, Royal Jubilee, Victoria General and Saanich Peninsula Hospitals, the airport and the ferries. There are many hiking trails in and around Cordova Bay with amazing views of the Gulf and San Juan Islands. Elk Lake is a 10 minute drive which has running/walking trails, a playground and rowing club. You can walk or bike the Lochside trail that runs from Sidney (close to the ferries) all the way downtown, taking you along the oceanside, thru estuaries, under bridges, thru tunnels, right to downtown Victoria. Close by is Mt. Douglas Park which has many hiking trails where from the top you can see a 360 degree view of Victoria and all the surrounding areas. Our home is an older style that has had many renovations over the years. Hardwood floors, warm colors with an open kitchen, living and dining room concept making it a great place for entertaining or just relaxing. There is a large backyard with a stream running through it where we grow many herbs and medicinal plants as well as a fenced vegetable garden to keep the deer and rabbits out. It has a washer/dryer, a large fully equipped kitchen, full bath, large south facing patio and beautiful backyard garden. It is an easy walk to Red Barn Market, Matticks Golf course, Cordova Bay Beach, Lochside trail and many more amenities. We live in the basement suite and are a very friendly, outgoing and respectful couple. This suite is Ideal for traveling nurses, physicians, contract workers, professors , someone looking for a place to stay while looking at houses to buy in Victoria or just wanting to escape the harsh eastern winters. Suite is available on a monthly basis for short or long term.
