Howdy, I am looking for 2 to 3 mid-to-late twenties professionals or graduate students to join me and Toast (my dog) as roommates in my childhood home in Chevy Chase, which just reached its 100th birthday this year! The house has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. Each bedroom is available for $1,300/month (with 1 month security deposit) which includes professional cleaning every other week, although utilities are not included. Private rooms are furnished with a bed, dresser, closet and desk. If you are allergic to dogs or do not like them, then this would not be a good fit for you. Unfortunately, no additional pets. 1-year lease starting September 1st (flexibility for move-in date during that month). The House: We are located in the quiet Chevy Chase neighborhood. Tenleytown, where the AU law campus is located, is about a mile away (about 20 min walking). The Friendship Heights Metro Station (red line) is under a mile (about 15 min walking) and the L2 bus route is just a block away on Connecticut Avenue, which conveniently connects you to much of DC.. Within walking distance there are local businesses, grocery stores, cafes, restaurants as well as light shopping. Street parking is safe and easy to find on the block and it is possible to attain a long-term parking permit if you have a car with out of state plates. The home has a spacious interior, finished basement, screened-in porch off the kitchen, a sunporch, and library. There is a wrap around yard with a charming private garden patio. The entire home is fully furnished.You are welcome to bring smaller, personal furniture and decor but there is no need (or space) for large items such as couches, dining tables, dressers, beds, etc. My Home: This is my childhood home. There are quite a few items that hold value to me and my family and I would like to find individuals who would respect the space. You are welcome to bring items you believe would give more personality to the home and we can decide as a group how to include new decor.. In between housekeeping visits,I like to keep a clean house, with chores that would be agreed upon and follow shared guidelines that would be up to everyone's standards. About Me and Toast: I am a 27 year-old DC native. I work in a restaurant in Georgetown, my schedule is pretty chill and I am around most mornings. I am a gamer, artist, florist, and traveler. Cinnamon Toast Crunch (Toast for short) is an almost 4 year old dog who is the sweetest, she loves attention and to be pet. She is the queen of the house and loves to chill with whoever is home or go on long walks around the neighborhood or park. She is energetic and excitable,and can be overly affectionate with licks. There will be no responsibility of yours to care for Toast as she is my dog.
