Apartment · Built 1910 · Historic
This beautiful Victorian Home was built in 1910 . The brick and the roof are in excellent condition . . The house used to be 4 units. It is now a 2 unit. There is a 2 bedroom 1.5 bath rental unit on the west side of the house. It is currently rented . private entrance on the 1st floor , three parking places out back for them. rental is a nice little money maker, re-modeled the rental unit last year ( new carpet, new fridg, new kitchen cabinets ,and new paint . Outside there is a cinder block oversized two car garage with a 2013 roof . water and electric in the garage. yard is fenced and very private with a new 6 foot privacy fence and a 16 foot diameter circular stone patio that is absolutely beautiful. The . We have been here 17 years adding beauty to the yard. There is a underground sprinkler system in the front and back yard. Now the inside . NONE of the 4 kitchens or the 4.5 bathrooms need anything done to them. All of them are tiled shower walls ( even the rental units shower was tiled last year ). ALL of the plumbing fixtures have been upgraded and are in great working order. Ten foot ceilings , 10 " base, hardwood floors ( only carpet is in rental unit ) . The third floor was a huge 2 bedroom apt. with the biggest bathroom, ( salmon, w/black and white tile just done last year ) never gets used. It is a potential rental if you choose. There is a washer dryer hook up on the 3re floor The second floor has 3 bedrooms, kitch/dining room, living room and washer and dryer behind the red french doors seen in the picture of the red and peach color 2nd floor kitchen. The first floor has the beautiful entrance going up the newly carpeted stairway . 8 foot oak pocket doors take you into the billiard room ( called the parlor in 1910 ) , on to the room where my upright piano is , then the ( green) bathroom with the tan and copper tile around the shower . Behind the bathroom is the kitchen with the old cast iron white sink . Down to the basement. It's huge . . Basement floor is concrete WITH a floor drain , so no water or dampness issues. I have not included any pictures of the basement or of the rental unit. ALL pictures are of the 1, 2, 3, floors . I can tell you that this house has no major problems, really, no problems at all. The exterior was painted in the last 2 years. The slate roof was inspected last year. When you look up at this house from the outside you do not see any gutters because they are built -in gutters . If you have leaky gutters it will eventually rot you beautiful wood , that is why I spent 14k 17 years ago to have COPPER gutter installed so I would never have to worry about them leaking or rotting. What this means is that they will be there 100 years from now . I had one of the best copper roofer men available anywhere perform the work. You will never have an issue with these gutters or downspouts as they are copper too. The house is solid as a rock , and is a wonderful place to live , with potential unlimited. It is classified as a residential 2 unit with the Dallastown borough , however deeded as a 4 unit, so if you wanted too, you could rent the third floor as a 2 bed room apt. and collect at least 750.00 - or 800.00 per month easily. I estimate the potential income as a 4 unit at 3,000.00 per month. Or do what I have done , live on 1st, 2nd, floor and have basement, garage, big back yard all to yourself, and have the 2 bed room rental on the 1st floor west side, and then you have a whole apt. on the third floor to do with what you want. ( rent to a family member, rent to a friend, run a small business, whatever you like ). Dallastown pa. is known for great schools, and low crime, nice people . Walk to the post office, the dry cleaners, crabs and beer, Rutters Turkey hill, Rob Burito's , book store, shoe repair, beauty salon, and Church small town living in south central Pa. , .
