Currently an Airbnb with an open calender. We are willing to try and rent this home long term, furnished, for the right fit: ie. temporary laborers/professionals working in Northwest Indiana. The house sits on a quiet tree lined street in Michigan City. We are offering a three bedroom, 1 bath home. Expansive fenced in back yard with an oversized deck. There is a shed in the backyard to store yard equipment. There is not a garage with this home. There is currently a hot tub on the deck that has been winterized, unsure of the hot tubs future with this home. There is one queen size bed and two full size beds. The washer and dryer are stackables and located in the bathroom. The home has a gas forced/central air conditioning hvac unit paired with an ecobee wireless thermostate. The driveway accommodates 2 cars, street parking allows for one large or 2 small cars. Tenant is responsible for utilities; gas, electric, water, lawn care and snow removal. The rent is $1500 a month unfurnished, $1800 a month furnished. The security deposit is $1500 unfurnished or $1800 furnished. The walk to the beach is roughly 6 -8 blocks, no busy streets. A small dog, 2 years or older, under 15 lbs will be considered with a $300 non refundable pet deposit & $20 a month pet rent; no puppies, no large dogs & no cats. Minimum credit score of 660 (firm). Good rental & work history is required. We will seek confirmation of submitted information. Honesty, would behoove prospective tenants. Discrepancies/misleading statements will be cause for an immediate rejected application. We have much experience in this realm. Prospects will be thoroughly vetted. We take care of our homes, issues are immediately addressed. We are the opposite of slumlords. Messages sent to us requesting a showing must include 1. Where do you work, your length of employment, your monthly income? 2. Where do you live, length of tenancy? 3. How many people do intend to live in the house? ie. "me, my husband, 2 kids and our dog." 4. Your credit score Tenant pays all utilities gas/electric/water. Tenant takes care of the yard and snow. Year lease. If the dog perishes during your tenancy, a replacement dog is not permitted. This a no smoking, no vapes of any kind, home. Tenant is responsible for replacing batteries in the smoke detector ( we will supply) and changing the furnace filter (we will supply). Locked out of the house fee is $100.00. Plumber rodding out toilets or mainlines. If its determined the clog in the pipes is the tenants fault, the tenant pays for the line to be serviced.
