Condo · Built 2000
This is a "townhome." It looks like you might share a wall with your neighbor, but there's NO common wall. Instead, it's like two houses built inches apart. The exterior stucco and roofing are just continuous: it makes them easier to maintain. - The house is on a quiet street: it's a development that is not cut through to anywhere, so there's no "passing-through" traffic. - The HOA does all yard maintenance: cutting, watering, fertilizing: everything. It's nice and green in the summer, and that water isn't billed to your home: it comes from the "irrigation water" that's in some areas of the Tri-Cities. - The HOA also maintains the park area: it's in the NE corner of the development: you can see its sign in the long shot down the street. There's lots of grass, so it's a nice place to sit and be quiet, or walk a bit and watch your kids play. - Our HOA has done a good job of keeping the monthly cost down. It's $90, and has never gone up. In fact, it decreased, at one point in time. - You own and maintain the inside and outside of your house (unlike a condo). The houses all have a standard color scheme, though, so your neighbor can't paint their half of the exterior deep purple :O) - In addition, since there's no shared wall, you can get it insured like a normal house: it's not like you're part of a larger set of units and have to get a special type of "group" insurance. - The master bedroom is downstairs. It has sliding glass doors onto the back patio. It also has an attached private bathroom that has twin sinks (side by side), a walk-in shower, and a toilet (of course). - In addition, there's a full-height closet for storing towels, etc. There's a wood cabinet on one side of the twin sinks, for sharing, or for whichever of you wants to keep the most stuff in shelves. The mirror spans across in front of both sinks. - The kitchen has lots of cabinet space, both above and below the counters. Looking out across the range, there's a breakfast-bar counter, then the "great room": the room that is all of the main floor that's NOT in the entry, kitchen, or master bedroom. - The great room has a built-in gas-fired fireplace, a sliding glass door onto the back patio, and a part of the room that's sort of a "corner." It has a hanging light, so we put our table and chair set there. - The house has two bedrooms upstairs. They both have sliding windows, which look to the north. The upstairs bath has a bathtub plus a shower head, along with a sink and toilet. The upstairs has a small landing: the landing looks out across the open entryway, through the round-topped window over the front door. - The house has a smoke-alarm system that integrates all the alarms together. So, smoke in the upstairs immediately sets off not just that alarm, but ALL of the alarms- and vice versa. - The "visitor" bathroom is off the main entry. The washer & dryer are in that bathroom, behind folding doors. - All appliances are included and are in great shape. - The owner is still IN the house, and is in the process of packing/ preparing to move out- so please don't expect a totally empty and nicely staged house. It's just a nice home, in a great HOA, and it's been reasonably kept. The selling point is the house and HOA- not how it's staged.
