Virginia is under mandatory stay at home orders. We'd like to make our short-term rental available to those coming to Charlottesville on essential business in order to shelter in place. We have an enormous sprawling house just outside of Charlottesville, and have divided it into two completely self-contained homes. Your space is completely private, and we will be right next door and are available for any questions or needs that may arise. 1 acre yard is shared, and we can figure out what makes sense in terms of sustainable social distancing vis a vis use of the yard. The feel of the house is cottage/barn. Besides the Great Room with its fireplace and exposed beams, there is an overlooking loft den, one extremely large bedroom (king bed) with a walk-out deck, and two smaller bedrooms (one queen, one full), all upstairs. The loft den has two day beds. All the beds have 100% cotton sheets. The fully-equipped kitchen has a slate floor and soapstone counters with a big old fashioned sink. Wood/slate floors throughout most of the house. Washer and dryer on premises. Accessing media on your personal devices is easy and fast, and the television reception is basic but adequate. There is a fantastic library and plenty of common spaces for enjoying the company of your family.
